Right. The island is too far away from land for me to swim, and I am, in any case, uncertain of the direction. I can't use magic. Well, there's only one thing to do.

*There is a pit which fills nearly the whole width of the cave in front of you, and on the other side is a flight of stone steps leading up to the top of the cave. You cannot see where it ends. There is a foot width around the edge of the pit, but every few centimetres it is broken up with sharp metal spikes. On your side of the pit there are two planks that are too short to reach all the way across the pit by about two feet. The pit is six feet across - you cannot jump.*

Hey, I caught up with you! *sees pit* Woah, we have to cross THAT? Without magic? Oh well, it's a good job I had this bullwhip handy, it's a gift from an explorer pal of mine. *uses whip to grasp spike on other side of pit, it wraps around it tightly, then swings across gap using whip* TA-DAA! Now you try it...*looks and sees that there's only one whip*...oh.

*whip falls down pit. Looks like you'll have to use the planks. The planks are there to be used. i.e. if you don't use what is there for you, you get no points*

*This is what I've been hinting at all along lol - you HAVE to use what is there to get the points. You may also use objects that have obviously been left for you to pick up and use later on. As you may have guessed, those that 'used' magic and were transported straight back to the castle get no points as they showed no imput of effort. Sound fair? Read back through the posts for your own opinion. Don't worry - GreenDragon - there's plenty of time to redeem your points  * |

I can't think how I'd be able to cross without the whip *scratches head* , so I wonder how Thanatos will cross? Maybe he'll free his mind and leap a la Morpheus over it...

ho hum, I would rather have no marks than have to endure this level of tedium tbh. I think that this expedition should be ended as it has become EXTREMELY pointless
