Well, everything in this session needs to be observed, specialty or not. You see, not everything you've been told is strictly the truth with regards to magical artifacts, and the usual other objects such as Blood, Candles, and other such things...
{ He draws a rough pentagram shape on the board, followed by 5 circles surrounding it - each has a name within: Candle, Blood, Feather, Crystal, and summoner. }
Blood and Candles aren't so much as an integral part of the summoning ceremony as you might have been thinking. Yes, they have excellant properties, but in the art of SUMMONING, they are merely a conjoined method of ensuring a creatures arrival in the right place.
{ He holds up a half-used cone candle, and a small jar of Pigs blood. }
One or the other is suffice to perform the ceremony, but both is usually preferred. Think of them both as an individual magic beacon, able to conduct and direct a magical flow.
Now, I assure you we WILL be summoning a creature in the next week, but I intend to provide you with as much knowledge of the act itself, BEFORE moving on to the serious subject itself...
