...Pegathors. This is school transport for intercountry or speedy trips. For those of you that can't be bothered to look at them, they are like huge winged shire horses. They have a strength incapable of comprehension, and so be cautious around them and do not upset them. A meaningful nudge from them could knock you unconscious. There are six, yet to be named. This is up to you students - a meaning to the names would also suffice

Owen, it means noble (well it was used in Knightmare) and how about Treguard, Pickle, Mogred, Morghana and Malice for the other ones (if you cannot guess what they mean )

Possibly...any other ideas? Its not fair for one persont o choose all names. Why don't you confer in here? Remember - its ok to tell people that you don't like their suggestions!

How about Neddy - after the 'fine steed' of Sir Hugh de Wittless?
Or Bellero, after Bellerophon, the original pilot of the original winged horse, Pegasus?
Or, for a female Pegathor, Medusia (in Greek mythology, Pegasus sprang from Medusa's blood)?

How about Callimpsest's three names, and three of Rob's? You seem to be the only two offering names, so why not?

Yes, that is absolutely fine with me. As long we don't end up giving male names to female Pegathors or vice versa...

That is the problem with Pegathors - their genders are undeterminable until they give birth!!! And even then we aren't sure with those that don't give birth, except when they pair off with the Pegafoal. The fathers are very loyal and they tend to choose a mate for life
