Now then; as promised I will explain some rules for when to use teleport and when not to. 1) It is considered impolite to teleport around someones house unless they own a very large house. 2) Teleportation CANNOT be used within the school grounds, unless by someone with authorisation such as a headmistress or higher staff. For students you will find it impossible to teleport other than in an assignment room 3) If two people attempt to teleport to the same location at once then they will be teleported in one after another to avoid harm to either person.
For the first part of this assignment I want you to practise the spoken way of teleporting, once I am convinced you know this well enough then we will go on to mental teleporting. I have enchanted the room so you will not get any headaches from accidental failure instead there will be a flash of light above your head to show it has been done wrong, in real life you won't be so lucky! Make sure you do not try and teleport outside of this room otherwise you will risk punishment. Off you go then

OK, I'll start by defining my destination as three distances from my current position (back and forth, left and right, up and down) in metres, before casting the spell.
I think I'll use JUMP for this, since it's short-distance only.
Set (5,0,0)
JUMP
Hmm, hope that does the trick...

It certainly would, but as you can see then nothing has happened. I would rather we let the students learn teleporting basics before using other spells, so give it a go using TELEPORT

Well, JUMP and TELEPORT are different aliases for the same magic. I only used JUMP because it was short-distance.

You are correct of course, but I only intended for us to use teleport specifically hence why jump did nothing. Good attempt though Mally

Thanks. OK, here goes...
I'll use the same parameters as before.
Set (5,0,0) TELEPORT
