Due to lack of activity on the members' part and moderation on the admins' part, unfortunately this forum is going to come to a close at the end of the week. A section will be opened up in Surrounds for the KMBS, but if there is a strong opposition to the removal of this forum please let moderators know and it will be considered as to whether it should be should down or not. Thank you for all the hard work that has been put in here. I may simply lock all sections and leave the forum up for people to view the adventures rather than deleting people's hard work, and it can be kept in the archives What are the remaining members' views on this?

If I may take the podium for a few seconds and just say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed in a positive and interesting way to this board, without this board not only would surrounds never have been born but characters wouldn't have developed and Ideas.
I think everyone has made this forum great in their own special way, the surrounds board is always open for adventurers wishing to continue the story, or perhaps online roleplay central. This is not the end by a long stretch, the ideas and fun had here will live on forever even if the text should disappear.
It's been good fun being an Evil Overlord syndrome sufferer, a Teacher, a Deputy Housemaster, a recovering EOS sufferer and finally a deputy head. Though a few plots didn't quite resolve fully i'm sure that will all change if a mini-board is put on Surrounds. Although locking it and allowing only admin and mods to post might be a good tribute, I see no other reason why it should not be closed now as the magic seems to have faded away. Thanks once again for the memories! ;D

I must say that both the KMBS and Surrounds are two gret forums, but I think it'd be much better as one forum and not two seperate ones... At least then we could keep an eye on the KMBS at the same time as the Surrounds if you get my meaning...

Exactly Motley, it appears you see the purpose of the move. KMBS has run it's course in its current form, it no longer generates the traffic or interest to justify being a fuly fledge forum and having its own moderation team. By moving it to Surrounds we can give it space to grow again and not confine all members to a school-like routine they may not enjoy.

I know I was only a member breifly and only contributed a little to the forum.
But I enjoyed my breif stay.
I'll certainly pop into it's new home.
Sad to see it go. But Happy that it's not quite the end.

I've greatly enjoyed my participation in this Forum. It allowed me to be creative at a time when I felt rather stifled. For many reasons, it has been a special part of my life. Thank you sincerely to all those who have been involved with KMBS, especially the Forum's architects. My preference would be for the Forum to remain extant, but locked, rather than for it to be deleted, so that myself and others can look back at the posts for reminiscence and inspiration, both of which are in abundance here. I'm sentimental like that! But I respect whatever decisions are made. I am unlikely ever to forget KMBS.

I think that settles it then the forum will be locked but not thrown away and forgotten. I wish the students all the best for the future in the new school location, and thank you for everything. I know I have a greater roleplaying confidence thanks to everyone's fun on here

I'm sorry I haven't contributed since, uhm, December but it took a bit of time to think up each lesson and with the influx of work and junk I didn't have enough.

Nothing to apologise for, your lessons were imo by far the best and most well planned things on here. It's just that most members and specifically the staff haven't been able to attend here regularly, however most frequent the Surrounds forum and therefore can continue it better there.

We'll make a fresh new start and build up the ruins of the KMBS that were crushed by pure evil... ScarEye I mean...

I have to agree that this is for the best, I barely have time to come on the boards now, for which I apologise for. Everyone, thanks for making this happen, and see you on the other boards! ;D
